Can you try updating your Trados Studio to the latest version available, which is 17.1.8.17828? Your version is 2 CUs behind.

Ensure MultiTerm is also updated.

If still doesn’t work, please post the full stack shown after clicking the floppy disk icon on you scren-shot.

I have updated, and It keeps crashing. The Notifications panel is not opening, for some reason. It's difficult to do anything that the tool would crash. 

When the error appears, and I press the floppy disk, the stack shown is very long; it doesn't fit in one screen. I include one screenshot, but the list is much longer.

It’s big, but you can save the XML and paste here.

Hi Jesús Prieto 

If I press save there, the window disappears, and it doesn't let me save or nothing happens. I am not sure, though, whether I am doing the same thing you asked for. Is that what you said?

I mean this floppy disk icon button to save the error full stack:

Right. When I do that, it pops up the window I share above in the screenshot. 
Then, I understood when you said 'you can save the XML and paste it here' I needed to hit save again in this opened window 

 

When I press save in this new window, is when the window closes up and nothing happens. 
Was this what you asked me to do?

Yes. But I’d save the XML somewhere else, not in a temp folder. For example, saving to Downloads or to your Desktop would be more natural.

It’s ok if that window closes down after saving the file.

Anyway, find the saved XML and insert it here.

Thanks for the error stack,

I see you are using the plugin LanguageTool. Could you please ensure that the plugin is updated?

If it still causes the error, disable it, so it doesn’t kick in every time you confirm a segment?

I had updated the plugins this morning as well, so everything was up-to-date. 
When I disabled LanguageTool, it stopped happening. 
What should I do then with it? Enabling it only at the review stage of the translation process? 
If you have any suggestions of other ways of doing the Spell + Grammar check, I would appreciate that very much.

Ok, so we know that the plugin is the culprit.

I use the Hunspell speller, but I reckon it takes time to tune it up and its functionality is not the same as the plugin you are using.

Try removing the LanguageTool plugin, restart Trados Studio and then install it again. I hope this will solve the issue…
