Instead of auto propagating I would filter for such segments, copy all source to target and use regex to replace. Then confirm all in one go.

Example:

Take 2 tablets every 3 days.

Search phrase: Take \d+? tablets every \d+? days.

Replace with: Alle $2 Tage nehmen Sie §1 Tableten.

This will be much faster and very reliable.

Thanks for the suggestion, but besides I don't handle regex very well at all, the segments are similar but... they have different content and numbers, e.g.

SOURCE: Take 2 tablets every 3 days.
SOURCE: Take 5 tablets every 7 days.

SOURCE: Take 2 pills every 3 days.
SOURCE: Take 5 pills every 2 months.
SOURCE: Take 2 tablets every 3 days.
SOURCE: Take 5 pellets every 7 days.

Can I apply the regex even for different words preceding/or after the numbers?

Not really, if the translation differs. If not, it should be possible.

The search would be:

Take (\d+?) (pills|tablets|pellets) every (\d+?) days.

Replace with:

Alle §2 Tage nehmen Sie §1 Tablette(n).

It should also be possible to do that with months. But the crucial point can be the endings of words depending on numbers like in Polish. We could evaluate this in private better then here, if you wish. If so, drop me a line at info (at) tts-td.com

Please also note, that my first regex is wrong, it misses the brackets for the groups. It should be: Take (\d+?) tablets every (\d+?) days.
