How do I add an abbreviated word as an exception in segmentation rules?

Dear Studio 2015 users, 
 One repetitive word that appears in all of the files in my project is incorrectly segmented because it's abbreviated with a period. ("Prop." is the word.) Can anyone show me how to add this word as an exception in segmentation rules? Alternatively, if there is a more efficient way in handling this, I would love to know! I think any method would be better than trying to merge two segments manually in Studio.

Hi Chunyi, 
 
Add the abbreviation to your abbreviations' list, rather than as a segmentation rule (although this would also work). 
 
Go to your TM>Settings>Language Resources>Abbreviation list. 
Click Edit. 
Scroll right down to the bottom of the list (or click Ctrl+End) and enter the new abbreviation in the blank field. Click OK. 
 
This won't take effect on any current sdlxliffs. If you want it to work on your current project, delete the file(s) from it and run the prepare batch process again. Or create a new project. 
 
The TM you've added the abbreviation to needs to be at the top of your list of TMs in a project.
