Failed to save target content: Sequence contains no elements

Hello,

I'm trying to save my target xlf file and am getting the error message "Failed to save target content: Sequence contains no elements". From looking around it seems like this is a problem with an empty comment but I've been through the document visually and can't find any sort of problem comment. Does anyone know what else the problem could come from please? And if not basically what I can do to sort it out now? Thanks for any help, Anna

  • Hello Anna,

The error message you're encountering, "Failed to save target content: Sequence contains no elements", is often related to issues with comments or tags in the document. However, since you've already checked for problematic comments, let's try another approach.

Here are the steps you can follow:

Step 1: Open your Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the "Project Settings" option.

Step 3: Navigate to "File Types".

Step 4: Select the appropriate file type you're working with. In the context, MS Excel 2007-2016 was mentioned, but you should select the one that matches your document.

Step 5: Go to the "Common" tab.

Step 6: Look for the option "Retain Studio target comments in target file" and disable it.

Step 7: Try to save your target xlf file again.

If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to check for any updates within the application or reinstall the software.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
