Error message- Unexpected error when detecting file hype for file SDL XLIFF 1.0 v 1.0.0.0 ־c:\Users\haiii\

Hi- I'm really desparate for help...I opened a new document (Trados 2015)  as I always do (actually after this error appeared I tried opening new documents several time and this error repeated itself in all of them). I am able to translate it, and it updates the TM. It even allows me to generate a preview. However, after I close it (pre-translate) it won't open again, and after this error message, quoted, appears -    Unexpected error when detecting file hype for file SDL XLIFF 1.0 v 1.0.0.0 ־c:\Users\haiii\-    nothing appears, as if the file had been deleated (although it is still on the project list). Did anybody ever encounter this problem? How can it be fixed?

I would so much appreciate help!

  • First, thanx for the reply. However- I don't this is the problem, as yesterday, after this started, I tried to restart my computer, and after many problems I had to (due to this error?) "refresh" my computer, having all apps wiped out (although my personal data was saved). Then I had to reinstall all my cruicial software (Outlook, Trados and others). So, now I have "brand new" Trados on my computer, with all my pevious documents saved and appearing, and the only apps being Outlook, mobile modem, Trados, AbbyyFinereader (translating PDF into Word, Excell, etc.). And now, this problem once again appears...
    Suggestions?
    Thanks, Halli
