Double space is inserted when Japanese to English translation

Question

Hi, 
 When I translated from Japanese into English, I noticed that the double space was inserted between the sentences in the saved target file. 
 I just upgraded Studio from 2014 to 2015. This did not happen when I used 2014. Was any setting changed and do I need to change the setting?

Hi Mioko, 
 
This problem was reported and it was due to there being spaces at the end of segments. So you may be able to resolve this by using a QA check to find these segments and correct them... or run a search and replace to find segments with spaces at the end and remove the unnecessary space. 
 
That would be the workaround, but there is also a fix in development to look for these and remove the addditional space automatically. This should be in the next update.

I mentioned that the problem we have seen in the past is caused by additional spaces present in the end of segments. This means they are there before you save the target. So QA check should find them, or a search and replace across the project using the sdlxliff toolkit. 
 
If you have a file that is doing this you can send it me (pfilkin@sdl.com) and I'll see whether this one fails for this same reason. If it does I can explain how to resolve it.
