I tested your package, first time I had the same error as you, and then I uninstall the app and download it again from the app store and all works ok. Can you please try this?

I’m glad you were able to duplicate the issue. This means it’s a real issue. Using repair did not help for me, but renaming the Studio17 folder to Studio17_old in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\ did. This means I now have to redo all the personalisation in Studio again. This is happening far too often and I’m wasting so much time on it. Studio boasts about letting you personalise lots of things. But in reality the software can’t really cope with it, as it creates all sorts of problems, like this one. Very disappointing.

I’m attaching my old Studio17 folder in case anyone would like to try to find the cause of this issue.

should this happen again, simply uninstall the WorldServer Component App and re-install it. This won't change any other Studio settings.

Follow these steps:

1- Close Trados Studio 2022 SR2

2- On your computer, go to "Apps & Features" and uninstall the WorldServer Components

3- Go to the RWS APP Store, select the correct WorldServer component for Trados Studio 2022 SR2 version and download it

4- Unzip the downloaded WorldServerComponents.zip file and run WorldServerComponents.msi to install it

4- Now restart Trados Studio 2022 SR2. You will be able to open your WSXZ packages normally and without errors.

Sadly it's not as simple as that. As described in the original post, that method was already tried and solved nothing. Also I must say we shouldn't have to do any of all these problem solving actions. Things should just work. We continue to pay for the software every two years or so. The quality just isn't good enough for what we pay for.
