Hello,
I'm looking for a simple way to filter for terminology consistency. At preent, to ensure consistency, I copy the term/sentence from the source and paste in "source" in "advanced filter display", but it is a cumbersome way of doing it.
Compare this with Memsource, where you just click ctrl+shift+F then "enter" and it's done. Is there a similar way of doing this in Trados?

1. Try highlight you term/sentence
2. Right click and select "Selection Filter"
See my screen print, it listed 3 segments.
Segment number 4 is not listed as it did not match my searched "term"

Thanks Lyds, That seems great but I don't get that option when I rightclick - see screenshot. Any idea why that is, or if there's anything I can do about it? I've got Studio 19.
Anna Jalmars Oh gosh I am using 2022 and looking back at 2021 I have the option. I suspect you are right. This may have been introduced as the technology evolved.

I have to say that, for all its super advanced functions, Trados lacks many of the most basic ones that would make translators lives so much much easier. To filter terms the way I do is super cumbersome - please, if anyone else knows of a solution, let me know!

You are using a version of Studio that isn't even supported anymore so wort checking more recent versions to see if the tools have what you want. And from the looks of your screenshot you don't have the advanced display filter installed which is what would be needed in 2019 to achieve this. Try downloading and installing the 2019 plugin from here:

There may be other plugins that offer this sort of functionality and more so worth checking the appstore.

"advance filter" is what I use (I currently mark, copy and paste - that's how I filter - it looks like this). Is tha one that you suggest that I download something else??
Paul referred to Community Advanced Filter Display (click on the link provided), more advanced than your Advanced Filter Display.
