Studio 2019: can't generate the target clean file in pptx. Please help!

I'm experiencing a lot of problems when trying to generate my target translation (clean file) after having translated a power point file.

I get these messages  "Filter definition not found  to construct a generator ppt 2007 version 2.0.0.0. "

and

"sdl isn't a declared prefix line 1 position 1112.

Please help !

Thanks

  • Hi

Please follow these below steps to manage to get the target file:

    1. Go to File > Options > File Types.

    2. In the list on the right-hand side, disable the Microsoft Power Point 2007-2016 filter.

    3. Ensure the Microsoft Power Point 2007-2013 filter is enabled.

    4. Confirm this setting by clicking on the OK button.

    5. Import your PPTX source file again for translation.

    6. Use the Pre-translate  to import your previously translated segments into this new one.

    7. Save a new target file and open it.

Please note that the segmentation in the new bilingual (.sdlxliff) file may be slightly different compared to the previous one. If you continue to experience issues, it might be beneficial to update your Trados Studio to the latest version.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,

    Oana
