Significantly more tags present in IDMLs documents in Studio 2022 in comparison to Studio 2021

Hi there!

We've just changed from Studio 2021 to Studio 2021. Now, we're facing a problem that the new IDML filter in Studio 2022 SR2 generates significantly more tags than the old Studio 2021 version.

Here an example of Studio 2021 (no tag, everything's fine):

Screenshot of Trados Studio 2021 showing text without any visible tags, indicating a clean translation segment.

Now the same document pretranslated in Studio 2022:

In both pretranslations the filter option Skip kerning and tracking was marked.

When I look into the IDML file, I find the text in the according story XML:

XML view of an IDML file with text elements showing the Tracking attribute within tags, which may be related to the excessive tagging issue in Trados Studio 2022.

Obviously, the tags in Studio 2022 are related to the Tracking attribute. Now, my suspicion is that the IDML filter doesn't take into account the Skip kerning and tracking option anymore or at least it processes it incorrectly as this works well in Studio 2021.

It would be nice if someone of the Trados team could check this or explain me if I'm wrong here.

Best regards,

Bodo
