Hi! 
 Yesterday I worked on a Word file with Studio 2015, but I could not release the target from the CAT tool because I got this error message: 
 "Tag '<bookmarkend id="67" name="_GoBack"/>' extra nel segmento". Eseguire controllo tag per visualizzare i dettagli. 
 I ran the "tag check" function, but nothing happened. I could not obtain a target file. 
 The source file was likely to contain some strange automated functions ("active cells"??) unknown to ne... 
 Can someone explain what was happening to the file and how could I have resolved the problem (I had to reprocess the source and retranslate it with SDL to deliver my job!)

When you say nothing happened I take it you mean there were no errors reported? So it could be that the source file has some broken bookmarks in the file. You may be able to resolve this by opening the source file, look at the bookmarks in Word and remove any that are listed as invalid. Then pretranslate the repaired source from your TM. 
 
If you're not sure how to manage this you can email me the source file and the fully translated sdlxliff and I'll take a look and see if I can recover it?

Hi Valeria, 
 I don't have a good example to hand but basically Word has the concept of bookmarks. They can be added into the file and they look like this in MSWord. 
 
 Sometimes, and I don't know why, these bookmarks can be corrupted. When this happens, Word says no problem and can still open the file and when you look at this list of bookmarks the corrupted ones are marked (don't remember how, but you can see the ones that are in the list but are not really in the document itself). 
 Studio is just a CAT tool and it sees these bookmarks as essential tags to making sure that the file can be correctly reconstructed. So Studio is expecting a complete set of information relating to the tags, but something is missing. So it throws an error referring to the tag ID. If you open the source file and look at the bookmarks (sometimes it's quite an extensive list) you can find the one with the ID Studio mentioned. So you remove it from this list and process the file again. 
 That's what I mean, and often this will resolve the problem described here. It may not... but your description of the problem sounds like this issue. It may also be that the new Word filter in Studio 2015 is a bit more forgiving so it may not get upset with problems like this... but would really need to test this scenario with such a file. I'll try and remember this and test it the next time I see such a file.
