Can't export files as xliff even the original file is xliff format

Question

Hello, 
 I have 2 different projects from different clients but the result is the same and I'm confused now. Client A sent me Xliff file, done translation, can't export the file as Xliff. The original file was pptx (and the client A converted to Xliff), so I can only export as pptx. Client B sent me word file, done translation, can't expoert the file as Xliff. Only Word file. 
 I'm using Trados Studio 2022 and Online Editor but both export the same file format. How can I extract files as Xliff?

 If by XLIFF you mean SDLXLIFF then there is nothing for you to do. Just open the project folder in Windows and you'll see the SDLXLIFF file there. Trados Studio works on the SDLXLIFF, there is no black box. 
 If you mean some other form of XLIFF then you would have to do some conversion, which is also possible using the XLIFF Manager application from the appstore. However, I have the feeling that what you really want is the SDLXLIFF to send back to whoever sent it to you.

Midori Watanabe I assume that by XLIFF you actually mean a file with the file extension *.sdlxliff or your description would not make sense. Indeed "Save target as" will create a target file in the original file format from which the *.sdlxliff file was created. If the SDLXLIFF file has been created by opening a Word DOCX or a PPTX file in Studio, this is the format in which the target file will be created using "Save target as...". Since - as far I understand you- you have started working with an SDLXLIFF file, it is surely saved somewhere on your Desktop from where you have opened it. If you simply save the file in Editor after translation, your SDLXLIFF file will be updated and you can send it as it is to your customer. Alternatively, you can create a translated copy of the SDLXLIFF file by going to File > Save > Advanced Save > Save copy as.... and browse to a folder of your choice where you will save your SDLXLIFF file.
