I've always used Trados Studio with Parallels on a Mac (in my case, a MacBook Pro) and heartily recommend it. Best of both worlds. Using Studio on a Mac is no different from using it in a Windows environment, so use any Studio tutorial.

I saw your post about successfully activating Trados on Parallels Desktop, and I was wondering if you could share how you managed it. I’ve been trying to activate Trados within Parallels, but each time I attempt it, I receive an activation failure with error code 210150. However, the activation attempts still count against my available activations.

Hi Mustafa, I started the whole Trados + Parallels things very many years ago and cannot remember how I did it, but I did have help from a Windows expert friend. Sorry I can't help you further.

The procedure is the same as on Windows because you are actually running a Windows session in Parallels. 
Once you are logged in to your Windows VM, launch Studio and when prompted, enter your activation code. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.

I don't think so. If you did not manage to activate, you can try again. Anyway, what do you mean by "available activations"? 

Thank you for your help with the activation issue. On the RWS license management page, there are three columns:

• Users: This number reflects the total licenses purchased, which is 1 in my case.

• In Use: This indicates the number of activations currently in use. Normally, after a license reset, this should return to 0.

• Available: This shows the number of activations available, which should be 1 under normal conditions.

In my case, after my recent failed activation attempts, the Trados software remains unusable, but the number next to “Available” has also dropped to 0, meaning it was consumed.
