Google Translate API billing

Hi everyone!

My organisation is working with Trados Studio 2019 using the Google Translate API.

We now need to find out what projects we have been translating using the API, how many words they account for, and so on. Is this info stored anywhere in Trados?

We have logged in the Google Cloud services, but the invoices are not detailed, they just state the final amount, but not what/how many projects have been translated, word count, etc. We weren't able to find anything useful there.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Best,

Carmina

All I can think of is for each project - there maybe a report that Studio generated.
    The report  would be:Analyze Files

It  will show at the start of the project - how many segments could be "Pre-Translated" using AT (Automated Translation) as my screen print below implies

Screenshot of Trados Studio's Analyze Files Report showing a summary of the task, settings, and totals. The report indicates that DeepL was used as the translation provider and highlights 19 segments as 'New AT'.

If MT was applied, against a file it may be indicated by looking at the "Pre-Translate" Report, as seen in my example it shows I used DeepL
Screenshot of Trados Studio's Pre-translate Files Report with a summary including the task name, project, translation provider as 'DeepL MT Provider', language as 'German (Germany)', and the number of files, creation date, and task duration.
But all of this is based on Batch Tasks and would not capture the in segment lookup / resend of translations that tends to happen as a linguists work through the file.

Hopefully it gives you some alignment all be it not fully accurate
