The problem is most likely caused by a plugin being there that has not been properly removed before installing this one.  If you clear out your plugins and then reinstall via the integrated appstore it should be fine.

Please delete the following folders and then reinstall your plugins by using the integrated appstore in Trads Studio:

%APPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins

c:\ProgramData\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins

Apologies for clarifying, but presumably I just delete the folder "Plugins" in each of the three stated directory paths, otherwise I could lose other vital folders.

Yes, just delete exactly what I told you... the plugins folders in each of these locations.
