Quick add new term causes Trados Studio (2021) to freeze

Hello,

Quick add new term causes Trados Studio (2021) to freeze - I have tried resetting Studio by changing Studio 16 file to _old as suggested by Paul in answer to Isabel Sacco's question in 2022 but this doesn't help. This has only happened in the last day or so. Add new term seems to work but not for everything, which is very strange.

Any other ideas? I've tried looking for Updates but nothing comes up and have also tried repairing Trados in Program files but the option didn't seem to be available.

    Are you using Rapid Add Term? Or are the language names in your termbase different from the names in your project? This could happen, if you add your termbase with for example language names in English to a project, where the language names are in German.
