Package files unintentionally being saved in wrong folder

I recently installed Studio 2015 on my two computers and a really strange thing happens when I open packages. In stead of the folders and project file associated with the package being saved in the same folder as I saved the original package file, they are saved in a completely different folder (and I have asked for this to happen, to put it that way!). This happens to alle the packages I open.  What can  I do to resolve this? It never occurred in the 2011 version of Studio, which is the one I used before I upgraded.

  • When receiving packages from the customer make sure you select the desired path.

Press the "Browse" button or copy/paste the path inn the line "Project Folder".

As Ali wrote, Studio will suggest the same path for the next received package. Should you decide to use the same path for all your projects, so you will find them all there in different subfoders. The subfolder names will correspond to the project names.

Please note, that there is NO standard setting for any files and project folders. It is always you as user, who decides, where the files go. Should you not see the line "Project folder", try to resize the "Open Package" window. On computers with high resolution screens and font size set to 125% in Windows parts of Studio interface my become truncated. In this case you may either set the fonts to 100% or modify the compatibility settings for Studio. However, I do not know how this will perform on a screen with a resolution of more than HD.
