“No internet connection” since upgrade to Trados Studio 2022

Since upgrading to Studio 2022, I get this the entire time:

Trados Studio notification window showing a connection error stating 'No internet connection. Trados Studio requires an internet connection to sync your cloud project files. Check your network and try again.' with a 'Retry' button.

I can't notice any effect, I can upload to and download from the cloud, Language Weaver works fine. But I don't like permanent error messages – how can I fix this one? This did not happen with Studio 2021.

  • Hello Daniel,

I understand that the persistent error message can be bothersome. Here's how you can resolve this issue:

Step 1: Open your Windows Firewall settings.

Step 2: Look for an option to add exceptions or allow an app through the firewall.

Step 3: Add Trados Studio 2022 to the list of exceptions.

Step 4: Save your changes and restart Trados Studio.

Similarly, you can add an exception in your antivirus software. The process may vary depending on the software you are using, but generally, you can find this option in the settings or preferences of your antivirus software.

Please note that this error message is just a visual notification and it normally shouldn't affect the functionality of Trados Studio. However, if you continue to see this message after making these changes, it might be worth checking if there are any updates available for Trados Studio 2022.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
