Preview for source text works, but not for translation

Question

Hi, when translating in SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance, I want to preview the translation in the preview pane from within the Editor, but a message pops up stating that my MS Word version is not compatible. I have MS Word 2013 installed and the preview for the source texts works. When previewing, MS Word is not running. I already consulted the knowledge base and related answers in this forum, but couldn't find an explanation. Thanks for your help

Hi Detlef, 
 The problem is explained in this KB article . Since Microsoft moved to the new click to run installer and dropped the MSI installer for all but the Professional Versions of Office there are components missing that Studio needs to hook onto. The development team are working on an alternative realtime preview as part of the new filetypes for Office which are being worked on. I don't have an anticipated release date for this so for the time being you just have the View-In capability for checking a preview as you work.

It looks as though you will need help from the support team so they can investigate where the problem might be coming from. Unfortunately I don't have an answer on the fly for this one... very odd scenario but I'm sure there will be a logical answer to this.
