Cannot export file imported as mqxliff (Memoq) back into a MemoQ compatible format

Hi,

I have imported a mqxliff file into Trados without a hitch, and worked on it.

I now need to export the file back into a Memoq compatible format, but Trados does not let me.

1. I tried to export as a bilingual file, but it does not work (I get an error message, "could not find part of the path", see error file attached)

2. I tried to look at export settings, but the button is greyed out...

I'm sure I've done this before very easily, but right now I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I my deadline for today is fast approaching!

Could be that you are using OneDrive and the source file needed to recreate the target correctly is inaccessible because it's in the cloud. Just guessing...

If you can't resolve that and make sure all the project files are always available then do this:

create a new project with the same files

pre-translate from your TM

immediately save the target file

That should get you out of trouble.

Could be that you are using OneDrive and the source file needed to recreate the target correctly is inaccessible because it's in the cloud. Just guessing...

If you can't resolve that and make sure all the project files are always available then do this:

create a new project with the same files

pre-translate from your TM

immediately save the target file

That should get you out of trouble.

Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for getting back! I'm not using One Drive, it's all on my local hardrive.

Earlier I ended up doing what you suggested, and the option appeared again.

Initially I had accidentally finalised the project (force of habit), so I'm guessing that's why the option wasn't making itself available anymore?
