Studio 2022: File type definition not included in project package

In older versions the file type definition was included in the packages received from the customer. Now it seems not to be the case anymore. This is bad, as in case one creates an own project using the files from the customer package, the file type definition cannot be extracted and used for the own project anymore. This is bad. Please restore the old, perfect behaviuor.

Why can't you save the filetype definition from the project?  If it can't be created then perhaps you have not been allowed to do it... in which case including it would be wrong too.

Looks like I indeed shall not be allowed to have the file type. But honestly, I do not understand why I shall not be allowed? Why is making a secret of a file type correct in your opinion?

I don't think specifically making filetype settings a secret is correct as it's hard to think what might be in there that warrants it.  It's more likely that making this capability specifically available with other settings not could be work that nobody considered important.  The idea being when you are sent a project you should work in that project along with the settings that were provided.  Not take the files out, use them in your own project, with your own settings, and then put them back.  I understand completely why you might want to do that, and I would also be looking at things the way you are... probably ;-)

I guess once more and more work is handled online you'll have even less capability to tinker with projects and handle them as you prefer.  Only with your own projects will you get that luxury.  And in many ways, for some customers they'll be losing a lot of benefit they might get from very experienced professionals, especially if they lack that expertise themselves and just tighten up access to projects without really understanding what they get, and what they lose.

And this is the main reason I refuse to work in online tools. They do not allow me to use my experience and thus reduce my productivity, some of these by even 50% or more...
