I just used three rules as Document Structure and not as inline tags which is where you are attempting to address this.  Wordpress files can be poor, but sometimes I think the people managing the content really don't help!!  So here it's easier to specify what you want to pull out in the first place and don't try to hide the stuff you don't want.

I tried to use the HTML filter: I changed the extention of the file to .html, but the text from the <!-- ...> blocks is not visible.

Maybe I can use the parser there?

It all seems to work fine for me... also the HTML filetype.  See the following:

These are HTML comment tags (<!-- -->) and there is no mechanism for processing these in the HTML filetype.

Thank you very much! Indeed, the issue was in the inline tags. I deleted them all and the file opened.
