  • Hello,

I understand you're having trouble exporting files to the target version in Trados Studio. The error message you're seeing, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object," is usually due to a null reference, meaning that the program is trying to access an object that hasn't been initialized.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this issue:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to File > Options > Editor > Languages.

Step 3: On the right side of the window, ensure that the target language is set. If it's not, select the appropriate language from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Click OK to save your changes.

Step 5: Try to import your documents for translation again.

If you're still experiencing issues after following these steps, it might be a good idea to check if there are any updates available for Trados Studio. You can do this by going to the "Help" menu and selecting "Check for Updates."

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,

    still the same problem

  • Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing the same issue. The error message you're seeing is a common one in programming and it usually means that there's a null reference where an object is expected. This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as a bug in the software or a problem with the specific file you're trying to export.

Here are a few more steps you can try:

Step 1: Make sure you're using the latest version of Trados Studio. You can check for updates by going to the "Help" menu and selecting "Check for Updates."

Step 2: Try to open and export a different file. If the problem is specific to one file, this could indicate that there's a problem with that file.

Step 3: If the problem persists with different files, try resetting your Trados Studio settings. You can do this by going to File > Setup > Reset to Default Settings.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio. Please remember to back up your settings and resources before doing so.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. If you're still having trouble, please let me know and I'll do my best to assist you further.

    Best regards,
