Powerpoint notes - Trados 2022

Hi!

I have been using Trados for a couple of years and I have always been able to translate PowerPoint notes by selecting File type > All PowerPoint types > Common > Notes. In the Project Settings and also under Options. I have tried this but it does not work, I have done everything, re-created the project, restarted Trados, restarted my computer but nothing, the notes are not there. Anything to help?

  • Hello,

Based on your description, it seems like you've already tried the usual steps to include PowerPoint notes in your Trados project. However, as Michael Ratigan mentioned, the settings for including notes need to be adjusted before creating the project. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

    Step 1: Open Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to "File" in the top menu.

    Step 3: Select "Options".

Step 4: In the Options window, navigate to "File Types".

Step 5: Expand the "Microsoft Office" section and select "Microsoft PowerPoint 2007-2016".

Step 6: Under "Common", make sure the "Notes" checkbox is selected.

Step 7: Click "OK" to save your changes.

Now, when you create a new project, the PowerPoint notes should be included for translation. Remember, these settings need to be adjusted before creating the project, as they won't affect existing projects.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
