Question

Hi, my client has Studio 2014 SP2. I have Studio 2014 SP2... but I can't open his idml/xliff files (extracted from InDesign), and he claims that he can. I get 2 errors. "Data at the root level is invalid", and "file created by an unsupported version of Adobe InDesign"

This is probably because your client created the IDML with a very recent version of InDesign that is not yet supported by your version of Studio. 
You can get around this by going to "Files - Options - File types - Adobe Indesign CS4-CC IDML" , clicking on "Common " and checking the option ""Process unsupported file versions".
