Trados Studio 2024

Question

Hi everyone, 
 
 I am getting the following error message: 
 Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.ActionService could not be started. 
 
 I have repaired Studio 2024 following the steps prescribed in the community forum, but keep getting the same error message. 
 Can anyone please help?

 Hi Karen, 
 Take a look here: 
 Service 'Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService' could not be started 
 The error message is one character longer than that which you shared but if you missed that character out, the above solution should help solve the problem. 
 I've recently used the Plugin Management tool that the above link gives you the path to, to uninstall the plugins listed the first time I needed it. 
 A second time, I just installed OpenAI provider for Trados and that solved the problem. 
 
 This may not solve your problem but it's worth a try and won't do any harm...

 Try just deleting plugins using the Plugin Management tool as recommended above. 
 I believe that will fix the issue.

 Hi Karen, 
 You don't need to use the Plugin Mangement Tool to install your plugins. It's a way of accessing them when Studio won't open. 
 Use the on-board tool in Studio 2024 via (tab) Add-Ins > RWS AppStore > Plugins. 
 This will only list the Plugins that are available for the latest version of Studio. More will become available as the external developers who created them update them to match the current version of Studio. 
 If this isn't enough info, let me know and I'll post screenshots.
