Why is the Autosave folder empty despite AutoSave being enabled? (Trados 2022 and 2024)

I haven't had to resort to an AutoSave file for many years. Now, after a crash in Studio 2024, I wanted to recover my work, but have discovered that the Autosave folder is empty. I found the empty folder here: C:\Users\Emma Goldsmith\Documents\Studio 2024\AutoSave These are my settings: 
 I've just checked Trados 2022 out of interest: the autosave folder is empty there, too. Could this be because there's a space in my Windows username???

So I've been investigating, and it seems that this is working correctly.
An autosave file is indeed created, but it's automatically deleted as soon as I manually save the file. So if Trados crashes, an Autosave file only shows in that folder if more than 30 minutes have passed since I manually saved it.
I was expecting to see the last autosaved version, however long ago it was created.
