The problem described above still occurs randomly.

Example with fuzzy match threshold set to 70% in the project's settings :

SEGMENT TO TRANSLATE :

RESULT OF SOURCE LOOKUP IN THE TRANSLATION WINDOW : only NMT is displayed

RESULT OF A CONCORDANCE SEARCH FOR THE SOURCE TEXT : a 78% match is found

How come the 78% match did not show up in the translation window?

Has anyone experienced this with Studio 2024?

Percentages of concordance matches are not comparable to percentages of TM matches. Concordance match percentages are just for the words you search for, reducing match quality if they are not consecutive and that kind of thing. TM match quality is for the whole segment.

Look for "chosen metrics" in the concordance, and you will get a 100% match with that segment in your screenshot. Have a segment that consists solely of "chosen matches" in your text, and it will likely produce no TM matches, certainly not the segment in your concordance screenshot.

I realize that I haven't understood all the subtleties of segment matching! But it's good to know that percentages of concordance and percentages of TM matches are not comparable.
