Error when opening file

Question

Hello! When trying opening my sdlxliff file, I get an message of unexpected error when trying to detect the type of file...Hexadecimal value 0x00 is an invalid character...Line1 Position1...

Could you please help me recover it? THANKS!

Open the SDLXLIFF in Notepad++ and check, what is at the beginning of the file. This message means, that there is a character, which is not supported. 
Usually the first character in a SDLXLIFF file is <. You should see this there <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>. If there is anything else and the text pasted here is not visible, your file is damaged. In that case retranslate the source file again with the TM used until now.
