An error occurred while writing bookmarks

Question

Dear all, 
 
 I have this .doc Word file I cannot save as target, because of the above error message. 
 I have checked with F8 and there are not bookmarks missing. Intact the error message shows "File writing" as origin of the message and not a specific segment. 
 
 Any ideas how to fix this?

Just to close this one off in case anyone else has a problem like this. Turns out the problem was related to a couple of comments that were mixed in with hidden text in the DOC file. Removing the comments and reprocessing the file allowed the DOC to be pretranslated and saved successfully.

Hi Sabina, 
 I think the first place to check would be the source DOC. If you open it in Word you can delete bookmarks as explained here . So I'd take a copy of the DOC source, remove the bookmarks, or even check through them and see if any look corrupted (sometimes there is a reference and an error noted) in which case just remove those. 
 Then pretranslate the fixed DOC and try again. 
 You could also try using Open & Repair in MS Word with the source, save the DOC with a new name and then translate that.

Hi Sabina, 
 
It's always a good idea to try and save target before you start. There is no need to run a pseudo-translate though. But you'll stiull have the problem to try and resolve. If you can send me the source file and the translated sdlxliff I can have a look for you and maybe find a simple way to resolve this?
