Error in displaying TM results

I am frequently encountering a strange display error in the TM results window:

Screenshot of Trados Studio TM results window showing a display error with overlapping text in the source and target segments.

I am using Trados 2024, translating an XML file with custom XML preview. The two MT engines are Microsoft, which I query through the cloud (set up a translation engine with just that resource) and DeepL, which I use through the normal Trados plug-in.

Just me? Or does anybody else experience this? If I save the file and reload the TM results, the display is normal. Can't predict when it occurs, but quite frequently, maybe in 10% of all TM lookups.

Here is a variation:

Screenshot of Trados Studio with a display error where the source and target text in the TM results are superimposed, making it unreadable.

I wonder what causes this. Could it be the cloud-based resource? I turned that off for a few hours and had no further instances…

That is interesting, and I have not come across this before.  I set up myself as you have and for the first couple of segments I could sort of repro that effect... but then it stopped and behaved well.  I played around a little with lookahead as I wondered if the overhead of getting multiple segments could be accounting for the delay and eventually managed to get this:

Screenshot of Trados Studio with a segment selected showing source text in English and target text in Korean. The Microsoft Translator plugin is visible at the bottom.

Left the segment and went back:

Screenshot of Trados Studio with a different segment selected. Source text in English and translated Korean text are displayed with the Microsoft Translator plugin active. Timestamp shows 22:26:03.

It does look like the problem is related to lag although it's the desktop plugin results in my case that didn't display.  Worthy of some investigation though.

     fyi.
