Trados Studio 2024 fails to start, with a message "Access to path 'Studio 2024\Project Templates' refused"

Trados Studio 2024 fails to start, with a message "Access to path 'Studio 2024\Project Templates' refused". I reinstalled Studio and experience the same problem. The Project Templates file is located in Program Files>Trados>Trados Studio>Studio18 and holds all the necessary files. What should be done to make the software work again? I will appreciate any hints.

It might be related to Windows 10 Ransomware protection which could be preventing Trados Studio from accessing different folders from your computer.  There is an article here on something similar so it's worth checking that first I think:

The project templates you're working with are not actually held where you mention.  They will here in your Documents folder under the default Studio installation user folders:

    ...\Documents\Studio 2024\Project Templates\

So another possible problem could that they are actually in here:

    ...\OneDrive\Documents\Studio 2024\Project Templates\

If your OneDrive is set to be cloud only the Project Template folder might not actually be there physically.  Worth checking in case you made some changes to gain space on your machine by making more folders cloud only than you should have done.

Sounds like something along these lines anyway... come back if this doesn't help.
