Issue with Pre-Translation Minimum Value in Trados Package

Hi Trados Team,

I hope you’re doing well. I created a Trados package using both Translation Memory and Machine Translation, setting the minimum pre-translation value to 70% so the translations would appear in the target side. However, I noticed that this isn’t happening consistently, as some segments are still left blank.

When I double-click these blank segments, the translation appears. Could you help me understand why this might be happening?

Thank you for your help!

Screenshot of Trados Studio interface showing two segments, 1202 and 1203, with source text in English and target text in Spanish. Segment 1202 is translated, while 1203 is not, despite the NMT suggestion visible.

  • Your project setting for the minimum match value is certainly 70% too. In this case all matches from the TM down to 70% are not inserted, because they will be used interactively. If you want to have ALL segments pretranslated by machine, change the minimum match value in your project settings to 90% or something that high. It depends on your analysis results, from where you can see, how many matches to you have (or not have) in which percentage range.
