Yes, the TM export function allows you to do this.
Go to the "Translation Memories" view, open then TM from which you want to export.
Then click on "Export"
Click on "Edit" to define a filter and enter this:
Click on "OK" to set the filter and then on "Finish" to start the export.
In the first field, you choose whether the text you match is in the source or the target segment.
For your second scenario, you do the same, but the filtering criterion would be: .*ethanol$
