TMX Import error during Upgrade Translation Memory

Hello,

Below error message is popped up while I try to import a TMX file for upgrading translation memory.

Please let me know how to import the TMX file successfully as the other TMX files.

Screenshot of an error message during the upgrade of translation memories in a software application. The error dialog box says 'The translation memory C:UsersjeonDocumentsRequest_final_TMX.tmx could not be loaded: The TMX file cannot be processed since an internal parser error occurred.'

I just found your post in the Elevate forum.  This is only used during the Elevate Online Conference.  Better to post into the Trados Studio forum... I have moved it.

On your question.  If this is still a problem, as it was a few months ago, the first place to start would be to check your TMX in a text editor and see if you can spot anything odd... for example:

    • Ensure the TMX file is well-formed XML with correct syntax, encoding, and version declaration.
    • Verify that language codes in <tuv> elements are valid and match the expected configuration.
    • Identify and escape special characters or unsupported line breaks.
    • Ensure <tu> attributes and metadata are correctly formatted and relevant to the tool.
    • Test with Another Tool or Validator: Use alternative tools or automated validators to identify structural or content issues.
