Package Upload Error

When uploading a package on Trados as I usually do the following error message pops up:

Screenshot of Trados Studio error message stating 'Error processing command line arguments: Accesso negado ao caminho' followed by a file path. A list of tasks and their descriptions are visible below the error.

The client recreated the project from scratch but it still doesn't work.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I ended up having to create the project myself, but I can only download it to Word, I can't convert it to .sdlxliff, why is that?

  • Hello,

Based on your query, it seems like you're having trouble uploading a package to Trados Studio and converting a Word document to .sdlxliff format. Here's how you can address these issues:

    Step 1: Package Upload Error

This could be due to a variety of reasons such as a corrupted package, network issues, or software glitches. Try the following:

    - Ensure that you're using the latest version of Trados Studio. You can check for updates within the application.

    - Check if the package is not corrupted. You can do this by trying to open it on a different machine or asking the client to send a new package.

    - If the problem persists, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio.

Step 2: Converting Word to .sdlxliff

Trados Studio should be able to convert Word documents to .sdlxliff format. Here's how you can do it:

    - Open Trados Studio and click on 'New Project'.

    - Follow the project wizard steps and when you reach the 'Files' step, add your Word document.

    - Once the project is created, Trados Studio will automatically convert the Word document to .sdlxliff format.

Remember, the .sdlxliff file will be located in the project folder, under the language pair folder (e.g., EN-US to DE-DE).

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
