concordance search TM results

Hi! I usually have multiple TMs connected to a translation project. When I use concordance search, and it shows me the results, does it also show anywhere in which TM exactly those results where found? I couldn't find anything here. I'm a book translator and have to translate multiple books per series, so every book has a separate TM. If I use concordance search, it would be great to know which book the results are from.

  • Hello,

Yes, Trados Studio does provide the information about which Translation Memory (TM) a concordance search result came from. When you perform a concordance search, the results are displayed in the Concordance Search window. Each result is accompanied by the name of the TM it was found in. This is displayed in the 'Source' column of the Concordance Search window.

Here's how you can see it:

Step 1: Open your project in Trados Studio.

Step 2: Go to the 'Translation' tab.

Step 3: Click on 'Concordance Search'.

Step 4: Enter the term you want to search for and press 'Enter'.

Step 5: In the Concordance Search window, look at the 'Source' column. This column shows the name of the TM where each result was found.

This way, you can easily identify which book (TM) the results are from.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
