JSON files with embedded HTML code and place holders.

Hi all,

My Trados version is Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.12.9338.

I have a JSON file with embedded HTML code and place holders.

For example:

{
    "module-3": "Responsible <b>Social {{description}} Media</b> Use"
}

If I use HTML Embedded Content processor, the <b> tag can be parsed as an inline tag, but not the {{description}}.

Is there a way that I can add {{description}} as an inline tag in the HTML Embedded Content processor?

I know I can do that through Embedded Content Plain Text processor, but I need to add all HTML code there.

If I can just define the inline tag in HTML Embedded Content processor, that would much easier.

  • Hi  ,

    I have give Data Protection Suite a try, and I am able to convert the place holder to a tag.

    However, the tag doesn't look as good as the one you have.

    Screenshot of Trados Studio interface showing a segment with the text 'Responsible Social Media Use' and a placeholder tagged as 'description'.

    Unless I hover the mouse cursor on it, I am not able to tell that there is tag.

    And, I am worry that the translator may not be able to tell that there is tag.

    This is how I protect it.

    Screenshot of Data Protection Suite settings with a list of rules for data encryption. The 'Enable' checkbox is checked for email addresses and social security numbers.Did I mss something?
