Tooltips are not extracted as translatable from a XLF file (Studio 2021)

How can I make for translation the text in a tooltip?

<p>Example:</p><ul><li><strong>MECHANICAL FORCE: </strong>Like a bow and arrow or catapult, propulsion is done via mechanical force. (E.g. The <a href="#" data-toggle="tooltip" data-tooltip="{&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;text&quot;:&quot;The image on the left is a PIAT launcher.&quot;}" title="">PIAT

The type of XLF is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xliff version="1.2">
<file source-language="en-CA" target-language="en-ES" tool="Elucidat" datatype="html"

Thank you for your help,

Diana

    It's a pretty horrible content... but I guess you could get to something this:

    Screenshot of Trados Studio preview window showing bilingual text comparison with English on the left and Spanish on the right, highlighting 'MECHANICAL FORCE' and 'FUERZA MECANICA'.

    I used this sample file (always good to include one when you want help like this!):

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xliff version="1.2">
      <file source-language="en-CA" target-language="en-ES" tool="Elucidat" datatype="html" original="content">
        <body>
          <trans-unit id="1" resname="example-mechanical-force">
            <source><p>Example:</p><ul><li><strong>MECHANICAL FORCE:</strong> Like a bow and arrow or catapult, propulsion is done via mechanical force. (E.g. The <a href="#" data-toggle="tooltip" data-tooltip="{"title":"","text":"The image on the left is a PIAT launcher."}" title="">PIAT</a> launcher.)</li></ul></source>
            <target><p>Ejemplo:</p><ul><li><strong>FUERZA MECÁNICA:</strong> Como un arco y una flecha o una catapulta, la propulsión se realiza mediante fuerza mecánica. (Ej. El <a href="#" data-toggle="tooltip" data-tooltip="{"title":"","text":"La imagen a la izquierda es un lanzador PIAT."}" title="">PIAT</a> lanzador.)</li></ul></target>
          </trans-unit>
        </body>
      </file>
    </xliff>

    Used some rules like this:

    Screenshot of Trados Studio options menu for embedded content with tag definition rules for HTML elements like 'p', 'ul', 'li', 'strong', and 'a' tags.

    Pretty horrible I think and in many ways if you don't have a lot it would be less error prone to ignore them and translate manually later... or perhaps write a small script to extract them into a single file for translation, and then put them back afterwards fully translated.

    You "might" fare better using the Multilingual XML filetype from the appstore... but I can't test in 2021 as it seems to be crashing Studio for me and I'm not sure why.  I only installed 2021 to look at this and I don't have time to troubleshoot that right now.
