I am getting an error code "The SpanningCodeStart is placed after its corresponding SpanningCodeEnd" when I try to "Save Target As". Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this problem please? Thank you!

"Question improvement suggestion": To help us provide a more accurate solution, please provide the following additional information: 1. The exact version of Trados Studio you are using. 2. The steps you took before encountering the error. 3. Any recent changes you made to the system or software. 4. The operating system and its version you are using.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

The error message you're encountering typically occurs when there's a mismatch in the tags in your source document. This can happen if a start tag is placed after its corresponding end tag.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Open the problematic segment in Trados Studio and check the tags. Make sure that each start tag has a corresponding end tag and they are placed in the correct order.

Step 2: If the issue persists, you can try the workarounds you mentioned.

    Workaround 1:

    1. Open the file in InDesign.

    2. Click on File > Save As.

    3. Open the new file in Trados Studio.

    Workaround 2:

    1. In InDesign, change all of the custom fonts used in the file.

    2. When prompted that there are missing Custom Fonts, click on Replace Fonts.

    3. After you have replaced the missing fonts, save the file and open it in Trados Studio.

Please try these steps and let us know if the issue persists.

I hope this answer addressed your question. If not, please reject the answer, add the question improvement suggestion information, and click the RWS Community AI checkbox on the right to try again.
