Hi there

Yesterday I saw this error message for the first time while saving projects. I have found this other thread https://community.rws.com/product-groups/trados-portfolio/trados-studio/f/studio/44161/hello-i-m-working-with-trados-studio-2019-i-have-problems-to-open-packages-of-a-specific-client-i-get-a-long-message-error-i-would-be-glad-for-any-help-i-think-i-have-to-change-the-path-but-i-don-t-know-how-do-to-so# and I tried this procedure https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001414&_gl=1*p7j84x*_gcl_au*MTU2MDY3MzA3OC4xNzMxMzEyNTgx*_ga*NzM4NTUxMDYxLjE3MzEzMTI1ODE.*_ga_J0Z9C6G83T*MTczMTMxMjU4MS4xLjEuMTczMTMxMzEzOS4wLjAuMA.. (workaround 2; workaround 3 happened atomatically when i opened Studio again) but I keep seeing the error message.

I am using Trados Studio 2022 with Windows 11.

It seems like I can still create target texts and packages but I have many projects going on at the moment and I am really afraid something could go wrong as long as I keep seeing this error message.

Thanks a lot for your help, hope you can see the error-file correctly.

    Thanks Marianna,

The error message indicates a permissions issue when Trados Studio attempts to delete a temporary folder in the AutoSave directory in OneDrive (C:\Users\maria\OneDrive\Documents\Studio 2022\AutoSave). The system is denying access to this path, maybe due to one of the following:

    1. File Permissions: The folder or files within it may be restricted due to OneDrive permissions or sync issues. Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions to delete files in this directory.

    2. OneDrive Sync Conflicts: OneDrive may be syncing the file or folder, temporarily locking it and preventing Trados from deleting it. Pausing OneDrive sync temporarily might resolve this.

    3. Locked Files: Files in this directory may be in use by another process. Closing Trados Studio and OneDrive, then reopening Studio without OneDrive enabled, might help. Alternatively, a restart could release any locks on these files.

    4. Run Trados as Administrator: Running Trados Studio as an administrator can sometimes bypass certain permission issues.

    5. Folder Ownership: Check if the OneDrive folder ownership has been accidentally changed, which can happen occasionally. Right-click the folder, go to Properties > Security, and ensure your user account has full control.

There is a KB here that is most likely related to your problem:

    https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000017192

The easiest solution is probably to exclude that folder from your OneDrive synch.
