Translation Memory

Sometimes Trados forgets the TMs I was using before.

Sometimes the TM does not update and I have to search segments using concordance. Is there a way to fix this? Does configuring Trados to ignore tags help in any way?

Also, I only see a red label when there is a mismatch between 2 segments units. Is there a way to have this warning more visible? (As in Trados 2007, where the whole segment would change colors if it detected a mismatch?)

Thanks,

Carolina

If you want to use the same TMs you used before for all new projects then you need to make sure they are eitherh in the default template, or you create Project templates so you can have different TMs available for different customers.  If you don't know about Project Templates this article may give you an idea.

If the TM does not update it's almost certainly due to you no have made sure the update box is checked in your project settings:

I guess you mean this one?

This is the only visible way STudio shows this.  But you can also use the Translate to Fuzzy feature and then have Studio stop at each segment which is different... that may help?
