TM not properly set - long translation lost - options to retrieve?

Hi All, I've lost a 2000+ segment translation today. I wanted to generate a target translation, but got the message "Source file corrupted". 
 I've updated the source file and wanted to retranslate it, but only MT segments show. 
 Is there any way to retrieve my translation, like access a previous version of the .sdlxliff file? 
 I've since noticed that I haven't selected any TM to Update. 
 
 The TM selected is the one where I wanted my translation to save, but it didn't. 
 I've tried to update both Project and Main TM when the file was still translated, but it seems the post-edited segments are nowhere to be found.

Okay, managed to resolve it myself: there was an older file in the target language bilingual format, I've updated the TM manually with this .sdlxliff file and then the current file managed to retranslate.
