Manager view -- create a single-file project

In the documentation, it says: "you can create a single-file project by dragging and dropping your file in the projects list section, and then creating the project in the window that appears".

I can't do this. No matter where I try to place the dragged file (docx), I only see the stop sign.

This is a minor matter, but I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong or if the documentation is wrong.

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information such as the version of Trados Studio you are using, and any error messages you might be seeing. Also, let us know if you have tried any troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

It seems like you're having trouble creating a single-file project using the drag and drop method in Trados Studio. This feature should work as described in the documentation, so it's possible that there might be an issue with your specific setup or version of Trados Studio.

Here are a few things you can try:

Step 1: Ensure that you're using a version of Trados Studio that supports this feature. The drag and drop method was introduced in Trados Studio 2017, so if you're using an older version, this feature might not be available.

Step 2: Check the file type of the document you're trying to translate. Trados Studio supports a wide range of file types, but there might be issues with certain types. If possible, try with a different file type to see if the problem persists.

Step 3: Try restarting Trados Studio and your computer. Sometimes, minor glitches can be resolved by a simple restart.

Step 4: If the problem persists, it might be worth reinstalling Trados Studio to ensure that all components of the software are functioning correctly.
