Trados Studio Not Opening - Is there any way I can open the files I was working on without being able to access Trados Studio so I don't lose all of my work? What are my support options when you don't have a support contract?

When I try to open Trados Studio I get the following error message:

Service 'Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService' could not be started.

I have tried to get help on the forum yesterday and tried to do the suggested fixes but nothing works. I do not have a support contract so I am wondering what happens in this situation where I can not use the software and I can't afford to pay another 150 on top of the expensive software to be able to access support and to be able to open the software?

I really don't want to lose all of my work, is there any way to open the files I was working on in Word without being able to open Trados Studio so I can try to salvage some of my work?

Nothing is lost. Only the list of projects in Trados is empty. This does not matter, as all your files are on your HDD. Please locate the folder where you current project was located. You will find a *.sdlproj file there. Double click it and it should be registered in Trados again, so you can continue work exactly where you stopped last time. Should this not work, go to Projects view in Trados Studio and select "Open Project" from the toolbar.
