Probably late now... but have you tried working with this app?

In 2024 we had to change the mechanism we have for handling PDF files and it doesn't have the same features as the old one. So we created a plugin to help.

Thank you for your reply. I'll give it a try. But to be honest this is quite disappointing... I wouldn't have bought the update if I had known of this issue beforehand... Now I am having problems in opening the PDF documents, while my colleagues working on old versions are going on working happily with their old Trados ...
It was for us too... unfortunately the company we used to provide the OCR capability made it impossible for us to work with them any more. So we had to make some big changes.
Frankly I think that if you cannot handle the PDF with the 2024 out of the box solution then it must be a more technical conversion that probably needed the Iris app even with the old version. I also think that the best way to handle PDF files if you get a lot is to convert them to Word first, tidy up the conversion and translate the DOCX. In the full project workflow this is nearly always a better approach with less work.
The new app I pointed you to actually does a better conversion to Word... although for really good results investing in a tool like AbbyFineReader is a sensible move, especially if you do a lot of PDF work.
