Studio 2022 does not "see" xliff files for import into a new TM

Question

Hello, 
 I have created a new TM and want to populate it with existing xliff files, but when I try to select them, they are not visible. The file type options "xliff" or "All Files" are not visible either (as in attached image). 
 I tried opening the xliff file and finalizing so that my new TM is updated in that way, but in some cases I wasn't able to open the file at all (no error message, the file just didn't open) or, if it did, only very few segments were actually imported in the connected TM. 
 What am I missing?

 xliff is not a supported format to be included in a TM import. 
 
 Did you upload the xliff as part of a project? Did you confirm the segments?

Hi Chrysa Magkra 
 It seems that you are reviewing the file. Please open it for translation, add your TM from Project settings and then confirm the segments you want to add using Ctrl Enter. If you want to add all segments to the TM, select all segments by clicking on the top left square in the Editor view and changing the status segment to confirmed.

To change the status of the segments, right-click anywhere in the first column and choose the Confirmed status from the Change Segment Status shortcut menu.
