The News processors

It is understandable that Trados will not fit for ARM-based processors like Qualcomm Snapdragon Elitte. is it a temporary situation. I mean is Trados capable of providing updates that are best suited for this processor? I.e will Trados support this processor? Since we  cannt guarantee that laptop providers will install emulator in the device..

At present, I don't believe there are any plans to support a native ARM version of Trados Studio.  I think that if you are considering an ARM-based device to run Trados Studio you should do the following:

    • Make sure that the device includes x86 emulation (e.g., Windows 11's built-in emulator)
    • Carry out your own performance testing with the trial version first to ensure the software runs effectively in your working environment
    • Consider using the cloud capabilities that come with Trados Studio and work in a browser only

Certainly you'll be on your own as Trados Studio is a 32-bit Windows application, designed to run on x86/x64 architecture (same story if it was 64-bit).  As such, it does not natively support ARM-based processors like Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.
