"Export files" is the only batch task available

For some reason, for several files in a project the only batch task available is "Export files", which is pretty useless when I want to finalize the translation. (I can't tell any difference between the files that have all relevant batch tasks available and those with only Export files.)

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide more information about the version of Trados Studio you are using, the type of files you are working with, and any recent changes or updates you have made to the software or your system. Also, it would be helpful to know if you have tried any troubleshooting steps already.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems like you're having trouble accessing all the batch tasks in Trados Studio. The issue you're experiencing might be due to a number of reasons. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:

Step 1: Check if the files you're working with are in a format that Trados Studio supports. Some file types might not support all batch tasks.

Step 2: Make sure that all the files you're working with are properly checked in. If a file is not checked in, some batch tasks might not be available.

Step 3: Try to reset your Trados Studio layout. You can do this by going to View > Reset Window Layout. This can sometimes resolve issues with missing options.

Step 4: If the issue persists, you might want to consider reinstalling Trados Studio. Before you do this, make sure to back up all your projects and settings.

  • Sorry; this reply does not seem useful (and I don't want to reinstall Studio; I have a feeling it would not help.)

  • I can add that this is a new problem -- at an earlier stage in the same project (the same files) I had access to all relevant batch tasks for all files. And the only thing I have changed is that I have opened the files and made some revisions in the translations.

  • Hello,

I am having the same issue.

I click to close the box that offers me the export only batch task, then I retry and all the options are offered to me.

When I go into my target language, I see that the export file is there, as well as the target file I want to work with and I just delete the exported file. It's a work around, but it's a pain.

It does not seem to happen with all my project however, so I am wondering if it is a setting, but I can't figure it out.
