We translate xliff files from Pendo. Using the "Overwrite target-language attribute value when generating translated file" option, we can generate the target files with the respective target language attribute automatically. This works fine for most languages.
For German, Trados generates the target xliff file with "de-DE" as target language attribute. Unfortunately, Pendo only accepts "de" as a variant in the files and throws an error when importing a file with "de-DE", and we have to change the target language attribute value manually from "de-DE" to "de" before importing the target file in Pendo.
Is it possible to change the xliff file settings to write "de" instead of "de-DE"?
